Who receives this notice?
The notice is addressed to the levying officer, the judgment debtor, the claimant (if different from the judgment debtor), and the judgment debtor's attorney.
What happens if the judgment creditor does not show up?
The form states that if the judgment creditor does not attend, the court may decide the claim based on the papers already filed.
Can I ask to stop the garnishment before the hearing?
If the hearing is more than 30 days away, the notice advises that the judgment debtor can ask the court to stop the levy or garnishment by filing a different form.
