Notice of Hearing on Right to Homestead Exemption
California · Judicial Council of California · Effective January 1, 1985
This form is a notice telling a homeowner that their house is scheduled to be sold to pay off debts. It also informs the homeowner that a court hearing will be held to decide if the homeowner lives there, which could potentially stop the sale or allow the homeowner to receive money from the sale.
The court describes it as: Tells the owner of a house that it is about to be sold to pay a judgment, and that a hearing has been set to determine whether the owner lives in the house. If the owner lives in the house, the sale might be stopped, or the owner may be entitled to receive money from the sale of the house.
